34. "A Daily Dose of Death"
Gutri Village, West Bengal, India

Jiten Sakhari, 74, drinks water from an arsenic affected tube-well in Gutri village, north of Kolkata. Arsenic occurs naturally in groundwater in many parts of the world, but is particularly severe in this region,
where more than 20 million people are exposed to unacceptably high levels in their drinking water. Lack of other water supplies leave the residents with little alternative.
