What is GHTA's mandate?• To empower the women of Tanzania through education by teaching FREE classes in English, Business, and Vocational Skills• To be a grassroots, hands-on organization run 100% by volunteers that has a tangible impact on people’s lives. This makes us one of the ONLY non-profit organizations where 100% of all donations to go directly to running our programs. We believe so strongly in the cause that the only paid staff we have is our Tanzanian school staff, all of whom are GHTA graduates. • To help selected women get their businesses started in one of our two Women’s Co-operatives and give professional guidance to those who start businesses outside of the Co-ops• To equip women with the skills to gain more lucrative employment which in turn allows them to better support their families and gives their female children higher expectations of what they can achieve in life
